Practice Management Workshop
|

NEW in 2009

Monday, November 2
5:00 – 6:30 pm
Moderator: Vinod K. Rustgi, MD

The practice of hepatology and transplant hepatology has complex themes in both academic medical centers and community hospitals with significant overlap related to programmatic, fiscal and operational issues.  This topic is not covered to any great extent in other mini-symposia and would be attractive to the AASLD membership. The emphasis will be on clinical and practical knowledge with a desire to spawn inter-related interest groups at the meeting and outside of the meeting under the AASLD umbrella.

Goals and Objectives:
• Learn about current and future trends in economic reimbursements in clinical hepatology and transplant hepatology.

• Understand the regulations at the state and federal level that will impact upon clinical hepatology and transplant hepatology.

• Appreciate evolving dynamics in health care economics and policies that will influence clinical hepatology and transplant hepatology under the Obama Administration.
