FDA Announces Limit on Maximum Amount of Acetaminophen in Prescription Combination Products

AASLD has been urging the FDA to take action to improve acetaminophen safety for years.  The steps announced today, while not covering everything we have sought, are important first steps in protecting patients.  We will continue to seek reasonable actions from the FDA to reduce the unacceptable levels of accidental overdose in this country.
