MISSION STATEMENT
To advance the science and practice of hepatology, liver transplantation, and hepatobiliary surgery, thereby promoting liver health and optimal care of patients with liver and biliary tract diseases.

GOALS
1. Promote and support basic and clinical research in liver and biliary tract diseases.
2. Educate healthcare professionals, scientists and the public about liver disease.
3. Improve the training of professionals committed to the science and practice of Hepatology.
4. Identify issues and effect change in public policy related to liver health and disease.
5. Support the Vision and Mission of American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) through the use of the association’s governance, financial and operational structures.
