Mission: To advance understanding of the factors and tools available for successful treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection.  

Goals and Objectives

  • Understand the life cycle of HCV and the choice of viral molecular targets for therapy with DAA
  • To choose DAA regimens to maximize success of antiviral therapy as well as minimize resistance and treatment failure
  • Understand the concepts underlying viral resistance and the importance of drug class and drug choice for minimizing viral resistance
  • Define specific patient populations that will benefit from new DAAs and effective drug targeting
  • Understand current and future clinical options for DAA therapy

Target Audience

  • Hepatologists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, and specialized care providers for patients with chronic HCV infections
  • Researchers developing Direct acting antiviral agents for HCV
